The start of the Thanksgiving holiday week had all the wrong
ingredients at LaGuardia Airport: foul weather and normal congestion
combined with extra holiday travelers.
Flights were delayed an average of 80 minutes, and at least 10 planes could be seen lined up for takeoff on Monday morning.
Rain mixed with snow and gusty winds also caused delays at Newark
International Airport, with flights arrivals delayed an average of one
hour and 21 minutes.
