Driver racks up almost $33,000 in toll booth fees

It's a record no other New York driver can
match: Almost $33,000 in unpaid tolls.

That's what Catherine Cappelluti owes the Port Authority of New
York and New Jersey for a half dozen years of driving through toll
booths, according to a judgment against her in a Bergen County
court.

The New Jersey resident used PA crossings 1,087 times for free
between 1998 and 2004, collecting 361 citations, according to court
documents.

They show the 38-year-old owes $32,879 for not paying to use the
Port Authority's E-ZPass lanes.

She says she's innocent, and blames her ex-boyfriend.
