Thieves Siphon $3,000 Worth of Fuel

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) -- No word yet on who siphoned thousands of dollars worth of diesel fuel from trucks parked at a Morris County business.

Parsippany police say $3,000 worth of diesel was taken out of the
tanks of some tractor-trailers in a local trucking company's lot.

Authorities were notified after a company employee noticed that the tanks had been drained early Wednesday.

But police tell The Star-Ledger of Newark there were no signs of
forced entry. They're trying to determine if any trucks at the site
were not disturbed by the thief or thieves.

Diesel fuel costs about $5 a gallon in the New Jersey metro region.
