THE snobbish millionaires of Palm Beach are up in arms over plans to put a Starbucks on Worth Avenue. The town council recently voted to let the coffee chain open at 150 Worth, next to Saks Fifth Avenue. But it later revoked the approval, saying it wanted to reconsider after being flooded with complaints. Maybe locals fear a caffeine jolt might wake up the often-lifeless shopping district. "A common airport franchise on our beautiful, expensive, exclusive Worth Avenue?" wrote resident Lotsie Hermann Holton.
